Nina Cavazos

Nina Cavazos is a seasoned professional in institutional giving and corporate relations, currently serving as the Senior Director, Institutional Giving at the Center for American Progress since March 2024. Previously, Nina held the position of Director, Corporate Relations at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) from May 2019 to March 2024, where responsibilities included leading a five-person team to enhance communications and revenue operations while engaging various stakeholders on policy discussions affecting Latinx communities. Nina's expertise extends to a range of roles such as Senior Manager and Corporate Relations Manager at the National Women's History Museum, where integrated communications campaigns were developed to reach diverse audiences. Earlier experience includes curatorial project management at the Smithsonian Institution and research roles at Utah State University, where academic accomplishments included being a finalist for the Graduate Researcher of the Year in 2016. Nina holds a Bachelor of Arts with High Honors from William & Mary and a Master of Science from Utah State University.
