Anthony Tassi

Vice Chair, Board Of Trustees at Center for Applied Linguistics

Anthony Tassi is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education, literacy, and media production. Currently serving as Director and Executive Producer for the documentary film "Todo amor é sagrado," Tassi has also been the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Center for Applied Linguistics since January 2020, contributing to the improvement of language education. As Chief Executive Officer of Literacy Partners from January 2013 to June 2024, Tassi focused on empowering low-income and immigrant parents through literacy initiatives. Tassi's earlier roles include serving as Executive Director of the NYC Mayor's Office of Adult Education and Health Policy Advisor under Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. Educational qualifications include a Master of International Affairs in Economic and Political Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University.
