Julia Wells is an accomplished Energy Codes Program Manager at the Center for Energy and Environment, overseeing commercial energy code compliance under the MN Advanced Energy Codes Partnership since September 2022. Previously, Julia served as an Assistant Program Manager and Program Coordinator, focusing on market transformation for air source heat pumps through various collaborative initiatives, emphasizing contractor training, utility coordination, and resource development. In earlier roles, Julia was a Minnesota GreenCorps Member with the City of Minnetonka, where outreach and education on energy topics and solar suitability assessments were conducted. Additionally, Julia has experience as an Energy Counselor at the Center for Energy and Environment, providing energy audits to homeowners, and has held multiple positions in environmental education with Nature's Classroom Inc. and the Farm & Wilderness Foundation. Julia holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Wellesley College, earned in 2017.
