Central Synagogue
Central Synagogue is a thriving Reform congregation affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism. We are one of the oldest Reform congregations in New York City, and one of the largest in North America. Located in Midtown Manhattan, we serve more than 2,000 families in our congregation, as well as the larger community. More than 800 students, from birth to twelfth grade, are enrolled in our Nursery and Religious Schools. Central Synagogue stands at the heart of one of the greatest centers of Jewish life. It has always played a significant role in the national Reform movement and in the creative and complex Jewish community of New York City. Its clergy and members continue a long tradition of leadership at the local, national, and international levels of Jewish and civic organizations.
