Gary Perkins

Gary Perkins is an experienced information security professional currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at CISO Global since August 2023. Prior to this role, Gary held the position of Executive Director and CISO at BC Public Service from November 2013 to August 2023, where responsibilities included developing and executing the cyber security strategy for the Province of British Columbia. Gary also contributed to academia as a Sessional Instructor at the University of Victoria from January 2019 to April 2023, teaching courses on Information Security and Privacy. Earlier in their career, Gary worked at TELUS Communications in various roles, including Chief of Staff and Senior Strategy Manager in the Chief Security Office, focusing on security initiatives and risk mitigation. Gary holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a BA in Psychology, along with a Diploma in Criminology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
