Andrew Zane is a Senior Scientist at Cerion Nanomaterials since June 2017, specializing in the development of antibacterial dental composite materials with a focus on nitrogen doped titanium dioxide nanoparticles. Prior to this role, Andrew served as a Scientist at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine and as an ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow at the Navy Medical Research Unit - San Antonio, where work involved particle synthesis and bacterial toxicity assays. Andrew earned a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from The Ohio State University, where research centered on nanoparticle synthesis and characterization, specifically optimizing microwave synthesis of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots. Andrew also gained teaching experience as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Wright State University and conducted research on titanium alloy samples at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
