Akash Mitra is a seasoned professional in the field of engineering and research, currently serving as Sr. Manager of Technical Projects and R&D Lead for Design and Electronics at Chakr Innovation since April 2023, focusing on DeepTech and metal-air battery applications. Prior experience includes roles at Bajaj Auto Ltd as Assistant Manager R&D, where Akash contributed to powertrain design and gear mechanisms for two-wheelers, and as R&D Project Manager specializing in next-generation metal-air battery innovations. Notable internships and research roles encompass work at the University of Toronto in micro-robotics, Honeywell in advanced tech robotics, and The University of Tokyo in analyzing driver behavior with autonomous systems. Akash holds an M.Tech Dual Degree in Robotics and a B.Tech Honours in Engineering Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
