Laurent ROUXEL-DUVAL is an experienced professional in the maritime industry, currently serving as R&D Vice-President and Ship R&D Department Manager at Chantiers de l'Atlantique since February 2016, where a new ship concept has been unveiled to the public. Prior to this, Laurent held the position of Ship Concepts Design Manager at STX France from November 2013 to February 2016, contributing to the unveiling of various ship concepts. Additional experience includes roles as Sales and Projects Senior Manager at STX France Cabins, Design Department Manager for Cabins and Crew Spaces at AKER Yards, and Project Manager for Cabins at Chantiers de l'Atlantique. Laurent's career began with a Design Manager role at PSA Peugeot Citroën and includes experience as a Skipper during the EUROPA 92 Round the World Yacht Race, as well as a Research-Assistant at the National Center for Composite Materials Research at the University of Illinois. Laurent holds a Master of Science degree in Structure Mechanics - Composite Processing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Diplôme d'Ingénieur in Mécanique - Matériaux - Design from Université de Technologie de Compiègne.
