Kaylan Koszela is an experienced professional in governmental and community relations, currently serving as the Special Projects Manager for the City of Charleston since February 2021. Responsibilities include representing the Mayor in various meetings and acting as a liaison with officials and public entities while developing comprehensive project plans. Prior to this role, Kaylan was the Director of Community Outreach for the U.S. House of Representatives from January 2019 to February 2021, where a robust outreach strategy was developed across five counties, and extensive event preparation was managed. From November 2007 to July 2018, Kaylan held the position of Legislative Director, overseeing an eight-person team and advising on federal legislative matters. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Maryland, obtained in 2006.
