Nancy Addison has extensive experience in STEM education, currently serving as the Director of PreK-12 STEM Education at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools since October 2009. In this role, Addison promotes and supports science, technology, engineering, and math education through various state and national initiatives and oversees multiple grants for innovative classroom programs. Prior to this, Addison worked as a Science Specialist and later as the Director of Secondary Education at Union County Public Schools from August 2005 to June 2009, managing curriculum and instruction for eleven high schools and implementing state initiatives. Educational qualifications include a Post Masters in Curriculum and Supervision from UNC-Charlotte, a Master of Arts in Physics from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Science in Science Education from Clemson University.
