Lisa Allman has been a part of the business world since 1995, when they began their role as an Academic Advisor at Rock Valley College. In 2003, they co-owned Newport Cafe, and in 2007, they co-owned Barrett's Brick Cafe. In 2012, they became the MPH Student Services Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Most recently, in 2015, they co-founded Chefs For Seniors LLC with their family, a meal program for those 55 and older that provides customized meals prepared in clients' homes by a professional chef. The service is available for seniors in Madison, Wisconsin and the North Shore of Chicago.

Lisa Allman received their Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Writing from Bethel University between 1986 and 1990. Lisa obtained a Small Business Management certification from Oregon Coast Community College in May of 2007, an AED Certified certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in 2014, and a Certified Food Protection Manager certification from the Wisconsin Restaurant Association.
