Mounira Ibrahim is a Clinical Research Coordinator at CHEO's Oncology Department since January 2023, specializing in obtaining informed consent from human subjects, collecting biological samples, and conducting patient and healthcare provider interviews. Previously, Mounira served as a Pharmacy Assistant at Shoppers Drug Mart, where exceptional customer service was delivered in a fast-paced environment. Mounira completed the AWS Re/Start Program, focusing on IT fundamentals and cloud computing. Experience also includes roles as a Research Assistant at Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, where involvement in the CIRCA-19 clinical trial included producing stem cells and testing product quality. As a Graduate Research Assistant at McGill University, Mounira's thesis examined the FOX1 gene's role in breast cancer. Mounira holds a Master's degree in Human/Medical Genetics from McGill University and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences from Ain Shams University.
