Matthew Aguilar is an accomplished communications professional and sports journalist with extensive experience in both fields. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Communications and Marketing at the Chicago Housing Authority since April 2007, Matthew acts as a liaison to the Mayor’s Press Office, facilitates public relations opportunities, and serves as a spokesperson. In addition, Matthew has been a nationally recognized boxing columnist for the El Paso Times since September 1999, where contributions include coverage of various sports at the collegiate and high school levels and a notable tenure as a sports reporter for USA TODAY. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from The University of Texas at El Paso, obtained in 1993.
