Nicole Steeves

Nicole Steeves serves as the Director of Library Technology at Chicago Public Library since 2022, overseeing the management of a $3 million budget and a team of 15, while implementing strategic IT plans to enhance library operations. Prior to this role, Nicole was the Library Director at Fox River Grove Memorial Library from 2016 to 2022, where strategic initiatives aligned with the Library Board's vision were administered, including budget management and the abolition of late fees. Additional experience includes serving as a committee member for the RUSA Margaret E. Monroe Library Adult Services Award and the Adult Reading Roundtable, as well as roles at Fox River Valley Public Library District and Chicago Public Library. Nicole holds an MLIS in Library Science from Dominican University and a BA in English and Theatre from Kalamazoo College.
