Barbara Fuchs is an experienced medical professional with extensive expertise in the respiratory field. Currently serving as the Medical Lead AIR at Chiesi Nordic since August 2021, Barbara previously held positions including Medical Manager Respiratory at Chiesi Nordics and Medical Advisor Respiratory at Sanofi Genzyme. Prior experience includes roles such as Senior Scientist in Translational Research/Immunology and Research Scientist focusing on Allergy Immunotherapy at ALK, as well as Senior Research Scientist in Drug Discovery at AstraZeneca. Barbara's research background encompasses project leadership in the development of new immunomodulatory targets for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, collaborative international research projects, and various postdoctoral roles investigating severe asthma and vaccine development. Holding a Dr.rer.nat in Biology from Leibniz Universität Hannover, Barbara has demonstrated a commitment to advancing respiratory medicine through research, project management, and scientific leadership.
