Joanna Ladd

Joanna Ladd is a seasoned housing development professional with extensive experience in project management and strategic development. Currently serving as Associate Director of Housing Development at Chinatown Community Development Center since July 2011, Joanna directs department strategy, provides technical assistance on housing policy, supervises a team, and manages the development of the Maceo May Apartments—105 units of supportive housing for formerly homeless veterans utilizing modular construction. Joanna's previous roles include Project Manager overseeing a $45 million renovation of public housing through HUD's Rental Assistance Demonstration program and Assistant Project Manager focusing on environmentally sustainable practices in multifamily affordable housing. Earlier experience includes positions at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation and Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation. Joanna holds a degree in Environmental Analysis, Urban Studies, Spanish, and English from Pomona College.
