Andrew Kirkpatrick

Andrew Kirkpatrick currently serves as the Chair, Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science, and Director of the Environmental Studies program at Christopher Newport University since August 2013. In this role, Andrew directed the interdisciplinary Environmental Studies program and led the committee that established the Environmental Studies major. Previously, Andrew was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Government/Political Science at Whitworth University from July 2012 to July 2013. Andrew holds a PhD in Political Science and Government from Emory University, obtained in 2012, a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from Baylor University (2005), and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Tulane University (2000).
