Walter Haney

Walter Haney, MBA, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Walter started their career in 2012 as a High School Fishing and Field Promotions Coordinator at FLW, where they collaborated with the Marketing department to promote membership for the High School Fishing circuit. Walter also served as the first point of contact for high school administrators and parents with questions or concerns about the circuit and acted as a liaison to FLW's sponsors and partners in the industry.

In 2013, Walter joined Murray State University as a Directing Consultant, where they provided strategic guidance and expertise. Walter worked with the university until 2015.

Later in 2015, Walter joined NTT DATA Services as a Program Project Manager. In this role, they successfully managed and delivered various projects until 2020.

Most recently, in 2020, Walter joined Churchill Downs Incorporated. Initially, they served as a Project Manager before being promoted to Senior Project Manager. Currently, they hold the role of Director of Project Management - Core.

Walter Haney holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Murray State University. Walter also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Organizational Communication, General, from the same university. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained several certifications including ITIL 4 Foundation Level from PeopleCert in 2022, ITIL V3 Foundation Level from PEOPLECERT in 2017, Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in May 2016, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in August 2017.
