William “Bill” E. Mudd was named President and Chief Operating Officer of Churchill Downs Incorporated in September 2015. Mr. Mudd joined CDI in 2007 as the company's Executive Vice President and CFO until he was promoted to the role of President and CFO in 2014 where he focused on operating and growing the company's casinos and racing properties, including the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby and its TwinSpires business. In his prior role as CFO, Mr. Mudd was responsible for all of CDI's financial activities, including capital management, financial reporting, treasury, investor relations, financial planning and analysis, financial compliance, enterprise risk management and, since 2011, business development activities.
