Mark E. Knuth

Mark E. Knuth is an accomplished professional in the field of biotechnology and plant physiology, with extensive experience in gene editing technologies and metabolic engineering. Currently a Senior Research Fellow at Cibus LLC since August 2016, Knuth focuses on the application of RTDS™ technology for the improvement of crop plants and microbes. Previous roles include Senior Research Fellow at Nucelis LLC and Director of Research at Cibus US LLC, where contributions involved non-GMO gene editing and trait development for oilseeds. Knuth's career began with research positions at Mycogen and Agrigenetics Corporation, specializing in biopesticides and healthier oil production. Holding a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from the University of California, Davis, and a BA in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, Knuth has consistently demonstrated expertise in their field since the early days of biotechnology.
