Edgar Vargas

Edgar Vargas has extensive experience in the healthcare fraud investigation sector, currently serving as a Fraud Analyst at Cigna since December 2014, where responsibilities include managing flag requests and collaborating on protocol changes. Previously, Edgar worked at Aetna for a decade, first as a Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Investigator, overseeing prevention and investigation of healthcare fraud, training new investigators, and collaborating with law enforcement agencies. Edgar also held the position of Complaint & Appeal Supervisor, directing staff on program strategies. Edgar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management from the University of New Haven, completed in 1992.
