Peter Su

Peter Su is a Cyber Operations Planner at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, having begun this role in January 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Professional Staff Member in the United States Senate from September 2020 to January 2023, where legislation and oversight focused on U.S. cybersecurity and homeland security policy, particularly regarding emerging technology, cybersecurity best practices, and counter-narcotics resources. As an American Institute of Physics Congressional Science Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2020, Peter developed advanced materials and devices for mid-infrared sensors and served as President of the MIT Graduate Student Council, advocating for graduate student interests. Academic credentials include a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan.
