Matt Potma

Matt Potma is an experienced data science professional currently serving as Team Lead in Data Science and previously as a Senior and Machine Learning Engineer at Clarius Mobile Health since December 2021. Prior to this, Matt worked as a Machine Learning Developer at HeardThat, focusing on implementing deep learning techniques to assist individuals with hearing difficulties. Additional experience includes an Analyst Coop position at MDA, where project work involved software design and data analysis, and a Research Assistant role at Simon Fraser University in Condensed Matter Physics. Early in the career, Matt held positions in landscaping and sales at Wild West Gardens LTD and KMS Tools & Equipment, respectively, and was a National Team Cyclist for the Canadian Cycling Association, competing in prestigious events across Europe and North America. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, earned between 2013 and 2018.
