Fred Catron is an internationally experienced mechanical engineer with over 20 years in the valve industry and is the Vice President of Engineering for Clarke Valve. He holds a B.S in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, and a Masters in Engineering from Iowa State University. Fred started his career in the Fisher™ Valve Division, part of Emerson, working in the research flow lab and holding positions of increasing responsibility before working at Weir Valves & Controls in the USA, United Kingdom, and South Korea valve companies as the Head of Nuclear Qualification. Fred is the holder of 8 United States patents and co-author of numerous technical papers on subjects like flow induced vibration, noise control in process plants, and piping system noise predictions that have been published in international proceedings, such as ASME, AGA, INCE, and Inter-Noise.
