Amy McGaheran, Chief Human Resources Officer/Deputy Inclusion Officer, began her career at Clarkson University in December 2010. In May of 2018, McGaheran became Interim Chief Human Resources & Employee Inclusion Officer, with a focus on cultivating the University's recruitment, employee engagement and inclusion efforts. In February 2019, she moved into the role on a permanent basis.

Prior to Clarkson, she worked as the Director of Human Resources for Advanced Patient Advocacy, a multi-state company that services hospitals in 13 states, in Richmond, VA. Originally from Potsdam and a graduate of SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor's of Arts in Sociology, McGaheran has deep roots in the Potsdam community. She also holds a master's degree in Organized Management.
