Clean Energy Regulator
Jeremy Thomas currently serves as the Director of Environmental Markets at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, focusing on policy development for biodiversity markets since July 2022. Previously, Jeremy held multiple roles at the Clean Energy Regulator, including Manager of Scheme Audit and Assurance and Executive Officer to the Chair, starting in February 2017. In addition to this, Jeremy was the Director of Legislation Scheme Design at the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment from July 2021 to July 2022. Earlier experience includes senior positions at the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development and the Office of Transport Security, where responsibilities spanned operational policy and risk compliance, among others. Jeremy holds a Master of Public Administration from The Australian National University and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and Sanskrit from the University of Sydney.
