Syona Sarma

Syona Sarma currently serves as Senior Director and Head of Hardware Systems at Cloudflare since August 2022, after holding the position of Director of Infrastructure, Hardware Compute Engineering and Acceleration. Prior to Cloudflare, Syona Sarma worked at Intel Corporation from February 2008 to August 2022, notably as Hyperscale Strategy and Execution Manager for the Cloud & Enterprise Solutions Group, overseeing business strategy and execution for a leading cloud customer. Syona Sarma's earlier experience includes roles in AI and Memory Competitive Strategy and SoC design, as well as a position as a CPU Design Engineer. The initial industry experience was at Alereon as an intern in the UWB Systems Engineering Group. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Product Management and Strategy from the UW Foster School of Business, CORe from Harvard Business School, a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
