Rebecca Michelson is an experienced qualitative researcher currently serving as a Senior Qualitative Researcher at Code for America since June 2022. Earlier experience includes roles as a User Experience Researcher and Business Co-owner at Interstitial Technology, PBC, and a UX Researcher at Facebook. Rebecca is also a PhD candidate at the University of Washington, with a focus on human-computer interaction and family-centric design. Previous roles encompass positions such as Strategic Partnerships Lead for Make the Breast Pump Not Suck, Design Researcher at Foundation Medicine, and various research roles at Engagement Lab @ Emerson College and UCSF. Rebecca holds a PhD and MS in Human Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington, as well as a BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of California, Davis.
