Andreas Savvides has a strong background in technology and software development. Andreas began their career at A.M.D Assistive Networks Ltd, where they designed pilots for home sensing solutions. Andreas then worked at Yale University as an Assistant Professor, focusing on sensor network applications. In 2012, Savvides founded Seldera LLC, where they led the design and development of Building Dynamics, an IoT application for energy efficiency. Seldera LLC was later acquired by Ameresco Inc, and Savvides continued to work there as the VP of Technology and Software, GM of the Building Dynamics Group. In 2018, they joined Cognex Corporation as the Director of Connected Products and Analytics, responsible for designing and developing the company's edge-to-cloud platform, Edge Intelligence. In 2021, they were promoted to Sr. Director in the same role.

Andreas Savvides has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, which they obtained between 1999 and 2003. Prior to that, they earned an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst between 1997 and 1999. Andreas began their education with a BS in Computer Engineering from UC San Diego, which they completed between 1993 and 1997. Furthermore, they attended The Grammar School in Nicosia, but no start or end years or specific degrees were provided for that.
