Sammie Bae

Sammie Bae is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in data infrastructure and engineering roles across multiple companies. Currently a Member of Technical Staff at Cohere since February 2024, Sammie previously contributed significantly at Moveworks from October 2018 to February 2024 as the first engineer on the data infrastructure team, focusing on building a robust data platform that included real-time log processing, ETL frameworks, and data storage migrations. Additional experience encompasses software engineering positions at Yelp, NVIDIA, Shippo, and early internships at Veyo, SMART Technologies, Mighton Engineering, and McMaster University. Sammie Bae holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
