Katie Raftery

Katie Raftery currently serves as the Vice President at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, having held this position since January 2002. In this role, Katie is responsible for leading and managing the Human Resources organization, encompassing areas such as benefits, compensation, recruiting, retention, leadership training, immigration, employee relations, and competence development. Prior to this, Katie held Director of Human Resources positions at Ericsson Messaging Systems Inc. and Ericsson/EMX from 1997 to 2002, as well as at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP for a year from 1996 to 1997. Additionally, Katie served as Vice President of Human Resources at The Reinsurance Corporation of New York from September 1978 to December 1995. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Counseling from Hofstra University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Bard College.
