Brandon Lewter

Brandon Lewter is an experienced library professional currently serving as the Head of Access Services at the College of Charleston since September 2012, where responsibilities include overseeing operations related to access, circulation, and interlibrary loan. Previously held roles at the College include Interim Head of Access Services and Access Services Coordinator, where strategic leadership and implementation of access services were key focuses. Prior experience includes roles as an Interlibrary Loan Coordinator, Research and Instruction Librarian, and positions in advocacy and consultancy for library initiatives. Brandon holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelor's degree in English/Language Arts from Appalachian State University. Prior to the library field, Brandon taught English at the high school level, emphasizing higher-level thinking and technology integration in lesson plans.
