Joel Philippsen, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Joel started their career as a Photo Intern at The Star Press in 2005 and subsequently held positions as a Photo Intern at The Vindicator, Chief Photographer at The Herald-Press, and Photojournalist at The Republic. In 2006, they established their own business, Joel Philippsen Photography, where they worked as a Photographer until 2016. Additionally, Joel served as an Adjunct Photojournalism Instructor at Ivy Tech Community College from 2008 to 2011. Joel then joined Columbus Regional Health in 2011, starting as a Digital Marketing Coordinator and later being promoted to Marketing Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Marketing and WellConnect at Columbus Regional Health. Joel is also an Owner of Key Light Holdings, LLC starting from 2023. With their extensive background in photography, marketing, and leadership, Joel Philippsen brings a wealth of experience to their roles.

Joel Philippsen, MBA, obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Western Governors University (2017-2018). Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Journalism, with a focus on Photojournalism, from Ball State University (2002-2006). In addition to their formal education, Joel has also obtained various certifications, including Human-Centered Design 201: Prototyping from +Acumen (2018), Lean Sigma Green Belt from Columbus Regional Health (2013), and Design Thinking for Healthcare Strategists from the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development (SHSMD).
