Julio Colque

Julio Colque is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Equipment Engineering Manager and Magnet Systems Engineer at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since September 2020. Prior experience includes working as a Mechanical and Materials Development Engineer at SOLID MATERIAL SOLUTIONS, LLC, where the focus was on the development of High Temperature Superconductors (BSCCO). Previous roles include Lab Technician at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where responsibilities included designing and testing experimental pieces and superconducting magnets. Early career experiences also include diverse positions such as College Leader at Sociedad Latina, Technician Assistant at Roberts Resersur, and various roles in the automotive and service industries. Julio holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Tufts University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
