Jiali Sun, MD, PhD, MPH, currently serves as a Project Development Advisor at MyCHN, focusing on creating wellness programs, initiating mindfulness workshops, and educating staff on Advance Care Planning. In addition, Jiali Sun is a member of the Board of Directors for both the Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care and Houston Hospice, and holds an adjunct faculty position at Brazosport College. Past experiences include serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at UTHealth, where Jiali Sun analyzed stakeholder engagement for a mammography program, and at MD Anderson Cancer Center, conducting research in outpatient palliative care and telemedicine. Jiali Sun’s clinical externships in various healthcare settings have enriched the understanding of patient care and documentation. Educational qualifications encompass a Doctor of Medicine from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University, a Doctor of Philosophy in Immunology from Baylor College of Medicine, and a Master of Public Health from UTHealth Houston.

MyCHN is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Brazoria, Galveston, and Harris County, Texas, that provides professional growth and development in a group practice providing primary health care for adults and children, women’s health services, behavioral health, and general dentistry. MyCHN is dedicated to continuous quality improvement and the ideal candidate will work within a team to ins e comprehensive and excellent care. MyCHN clinics are dedicated to Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) principles and practices. In 2015, MyCHN elected to develop an open source electronic health record and modify it to support the needs of an FQHC. MyCHN partnered with Williams Medical Technology in this endeavor which required significant additions to the system; including, design, documentation, reporting, workflow, and billing. MyCHN's key staff members and Williams Medical Technology programming staff meet at least weekly to further the development of interoperability, clinic workflow, decision support systems, data warehouse, and patient communications.
