Mark Young

CEO at MyCHN

Mark Young currently serves as the CEO of Community Health Network since April 2010. Prior to this role, Mark held various leadership positions at Wellness Pointe, including Internal Consultant, CFO, COO, and ultimately CEO from May 1998 to April 2010. Mark also contributed as a Consultant for the South Texas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse from 2001 to 2005, focusing on grant preparation and program development related to federal initiatives. As the founding Executive Director of Special Health Resources of Texas from April 1995 to April 1998, Mark played a key role in establishing the organization. Mark holds an MBA in Advanced Studies from Trident University International, a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, and a BS in Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler.

MyCHN

MyCHN is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Brazoria, Galveston, and Harris County, Texas, that provides professional growth and development in a group practice providing primary health care for adults and children, women’s health services, behavioral health, and general dentistry. MyCHN is dedicated to continuous quality improvement and the ideal candidate will work within a team to ins e comprehensive and excellent care. MyCHN clinics are dedicated to Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) principles and practices. In 2015, MyCHN elected to develop an open source electronic health record and modify it to support the needs of an FQHC. MyCHN partnered with Williams Medical Technology in this endeavor which required significant additions to the system; including, design, documentation, reporting, workflow, and billing. MyCHN's key staff members and Williams Medical Technology programming staff meet at least weekly to further the development of interoperability, clinic workflow, decision support systems, data warehouse, and patient communications.
