Zarah Carranco

Zarah Carranco serves as the Founding School Leader at Compass Rose Public Schools since January 2022, bringing extensive experience from previous roles, including Principal and Assistant Principal at KIPP Texas Public Schools - Austin from July 2016 to May 2022. Early in the career, Zarah held positions at Noble Network of Charter Schools as Dean of Students and English Teacher, and worked as a Curriculum Consultant for The University of Chicago Urban Education Institute, designing a college readiness curriculum. Zarah also contributed to Umoja Student Development Corporation as a Student Development Coordinator, overseeing various educational initiatives and managing professional development for teachers. With a strong foundation in educational leadership and curriculum design, Zarah holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Chicago.
