Ryam al Ghrary

Ryam Al Ghrary, M.Ed., has a diverse background in academic support and community engagement within higher education. Currently serving as a Campus Ambassador for Corporate University Relations at Compass Group USA since July 2022, Ryam previously worked as a Student Engagement Coordinator at Central Piedmont Community College, where responsibilities included creating programming, advising student organizations, and mentoring students. Experience as an Academic Advisor at South Piedmont Community College involved guiding pre-health and transfer students in course selection. Additional roles in student life at Central Piedmont included coordinating events during the transition to online learning due to Covid-19 and supporting students through the CARES Act. Ryam's earlier roles included STEM tutoring at Sylvan Learning Centers and teaching at The Learning Experience. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s degree in Community College and University Leadership from Appalachian State University.
