Tuba Tariq

In 2011, Tuba Tariq began their work experience as an Operations Program Associate at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. In this role, they promoted the UW-System Green Initiative, managed the efficient utilization of UWM Fleet vehicles, and prepared annual budgets for the transportation department.

From 2015 to 2016, Tuba worked as a Graduate Student Assistant at Middle East Studies-Brown University and as a Non-profit Management Intern at the International Institute of Wisconsin. At Middle East Studies, they assisted in various tasks related to the program. At the International Institute, they worked with the International Visitors Leadership Program of the U.S. State Department's National Council for International Visitors.

In 2015, Tuba also started working as a Project Consultant at the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce. In this position, they conducted research on diversity in STEAM education and workforce, identified best practices for diversity and inclusion programs, and built a network of organizations for collaboration.

Two years later, in 2018, Tuba joined ACTS Housing as a Development Associate. In this role, they created and implemented annual Strategic Development and Donor Stewardship plans, managed the donor database system eTapestry, and prepared fundraising materials.

Most recently, Tuba has been working at the Association Management Center since 2020. Tuba started as a Grants Coordinator and then transitioned to the role of Project Manager in 2022.

Overall, Tuba Tariq has gained experience in project management, grants coordination, fundraising, research, and nonprofit management throughout their career.

Tuba Tariq completed their Master's Degree in Public Policy at Brown University from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which they attended from 2008 to 2011. Tuba Tariq has also obtained certifications, such as being a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP-Global), which they obtained in January 2019. Tuba is also a full member of ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are not specified.
