Markus Wilms

Markus Wilms, AIA, LEED AP, is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in laboratory planning and design. Currently serving as the Director of Laboratory Planning at Cooper Carry since January 2021, Markus manages teams and oversees various aspects of architectural design, including conceptual design, design development, and construction administration. Prior roles include Associate at WSP (formerly Smith Carter) and Associate at Cooper Carry Inc., with significant contributions to numerous educational and research facilities, such as Emory University and the University of Alabama. Markus began their career as a Design Architect at Uwe Hohaus Architekten in Germany, focusing on design competitions. Markus holds a Master of Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Dipl. Ing. Architekt from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
