Cooperative Baptist Fellowship
Ruben Ortiz is an experienced ministry leader currently serving as the Latino Field Ministries Coordinator for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship since October 2017, focusing on engaging Latinx audiences to advance CBF's mission. Prior to this role, Ortiz was the Senior Pastor at La Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana de Deltona from March 2002 to August 2017, where responsibilities included providing vision, leadership, and ministerial care for the church. Earlier in Ortiz's career, a position as the Regional Communications Coordinator at MAP International from September 1996 to April 2000 involved coordinating communications strategies and managing publication production. Educational achievements include a Master of Divinity from Indiana Wesleyan University, spiritual direction training, and degrees in journalism and music.
