Vern Paxson is currently serving as the Chief Scientist at Corelight, Inc since February 2013. Prior to this, Vern was a Professor in UC Berkeley Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences (EECS) from July 2007 to December 2021, and also served as the Director of the Networking and Security Group at ICSI - International Computer Science Institute from February 1999 to December 2021. Vern holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from UC Berkeley EECS.
