David E. Chesebrough, Ed.D. has over 30 years of leadership experience in the science center and museum fields. David E. currently serves as Principal at Chesebrough Solutions LLC, providing advisory, coaching, and consulting services to museum and non-profit CEOs and Boards. Prior to this role, they held prominent positions such as President & CEO of COSI and President & CEO of the Buffalo Museum of Science, where they successfully navigated financial challenges, restructured organizations, and developed award-winning partnerships. Throughout their career, they have also been involved in strategic leadership roles within various organizations, demonstrating their expertise in problem-solving, change management, and turnaround strategies.
David E. Chesebrough, Ed.D. graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1969 with a diploma focused on Sciences & Math. David E. then went on to earn a B.S. in Physics/Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh in 1973. In 1976, they completed their Masters of Science in Science Education from the same university. Finally, in 1998, they obtained their Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Duquesne University.
