David Schaefer

David Schaefer is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in legal and public relations sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director of Communications at Covington & Burling LLP since August 2015, David has held several prominent roles, including Director of Communications and Director of Public Relations. Prior to Covington & Burling, David was Head of Communications at Chadbourne & Parke LLP and held positions at Hellerman Baretz Communications, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, Euro RSCG Magnet, and Levick Strategic Communications. Early in the career, David served as District Director for California Assemblywoman Elaine Alquist. Educational credentials include a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Policy Studies from Syracuse University.
