Ed Shrum

Ed Shrum is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in engineering, product development, and project management. At Cox Communications, Ed Shrum serves as Vice President of Engineering, focusing on the strategy, design, and support of broadband access networks and video content platforms. Prior roles include Vice President of Product Development & Management, where leadership was provided for residential and commercial devices, and Executive Director of Technology, overseeing complex technology initiatives. Earlier experience at BellSouth/AT&T as Principal Member of Technical Staff involved leading cross-organizational teams and technical projects, while initial roles included IT Manager/Assistant Project Manager at Choate Construction. Ed Shrum holds an MS in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and multiple degrees in Business and Psychology from Vanderbilt University.
