Cox Science Center and Aquarium
Eric Stonestrom has a diverse and extensive background in leadership and governance, currently serving as Chair of the Board of Trustees, Member of the Board of Trustees, and Treasurer at the Cox Science Center and Aquarium since July 2015. Stonestrom's previous role as Executive Chairman and prior positions as Chairman and CEO at Airspan Networks spanned from April 1998 to December 2023. A contributor to the Florida IT Task Force in 2013, Stonestrom also held various roles at AT&T Bell Laboratories from June 1984 to March 1995. Stonestrom's academic credentials include multiple degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, encompassing a Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, a Master of Science in Operations Research, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.

Cox Science Center and Aquarium
The mission of the Cox Science Center & Aquarium is to “open every mind to science.” The Center features more than 100 hands-on educational exhibits, a 10,000-gallon fresh and saltwater aquarium, a digital planetarium, Pre-K focused “Discovery Center,” 18-hole conservation-themed Mini Golf Course and quarter mile long outdoor science trail. One of the newest additions include a $2.5 million permanent exhibit, “Journey Through the Human Brain” and features the most advanced neuroscience research and technology in the world. In the spring of 2020, the facility added the Cox Amphitheater to its backyard Science Trail, which features daily live science shows, trivia sessions, and concerts. Guests bring picnic blankets and socially distance themselves in the grass field while being educated and entertained. The Center is not only active in West Palm Beach, but also operates a Jupiter outpost, STEM Studio in Downtown Abacoa. STEM Studio is a collaborative space that offers after school programming, weekend workshops, camps and more.
