Corinne Smith

Corinne Smith is an experienced professional in journalism and public health communications, currently serving as a Planning, Programming and Research Officer (PPRO) and Communications Advisor at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay since April 2020. Prior roles include Assistant Professor at Concordia University, where Corinne taught journalism courses, and Radio/Digital/Visual Producer for CBC North's Cree Media Unit, producing content for the James Bay Cree Nation. Corinne's earlier experience encompasses various positions at CBC, including Digital Writer/Editor and Reporter, as well as a General Assignment Reporter at the Montreal Gazette. Corinne holds a Master of Journalism in Public Affairs from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Anthropology and English Literature from McGill University.
