Shaun Frenette is an experienced Senior News Producer and Videojournalist at CTV News Calgary, where employment began in July 2006, also serving as a backup anchor and producing "CTV News at 5:30" until 2014. Prior to this role, Shaun worked at Global News Calgary & Edmonton and ITV News from April 1998 to July 2006, producing "Global News at 6" and live specials for elections, and also served as an Assignment Editor. Shaun's journalism career began at CBC Television Regina and Saskatoon from July 1995 to April 1998, with reporting roles in both locations. Early experience includes anchoring and reporting at CKBI/CIPA Television and CJFB-TV as well as internships at ITV and reporting for Saskatchewan Valley News. Shaun holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Communications from the University of Regina and a Pre-Journalism education from the University of Saskatchewan.
