Jamel Spence

Jamel Spence, MHA, currently serves as a High School English Teacher at Cumberland County Schools since October 2022. Previously, Jamel held the position of Operations Manager at CORE Services Group and HOUSEN HOMECARE, INC., and served as Community Outreach Manager at Doctors Community Hospital, focusing on cancer education and prevention. Jamel founded Bridging the Gap Wellness Programs to provide accessible artistic programs to under-served communities and acted as Program Director for its Strong Voice initiative, aimed at leadership development. With extensive experience as Executive Creative Director at Crossroads and Musical Director at NK Drama, Jamel has a strong background in implementing programs for disadvantaged youth. Jamel holds a Master of Science in Hospital and Health Care Facilities Administration/Management from Walden University and a Bachelor's degree in Human Service Management from Empire State University.
