Debbie Smith

Debbie Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education and government relations. Currently serving as Vice President of Government Relations at Curriculum Associates since January 2020, Debbie previously held senior leadership roles at NWEA, where responsibilities included managing state and federal partnerships and overseeing a national sales team. Prior to that, Debbie was Director of Product Management at Riverside Publishing and held various leadership positions at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Notably, Debbie served as Director of Reading/Literacy at the Oklahoma State Department of Education, focusing on the development of ELA standards. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Wichita State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma.
